Message From The President

Dear members and Fellows,

I take this opportunity to thank you all for electing me to highest position of the college. I hope that all of you are looking forward to a happy and productive new year and a new decade. This year, I look forward to working with you as it is your wisdom and dynamism that will help to steer our college to greater heights.

 I am aware of the responsibilities I have to bear as the president and I am committed to serve the college to up lift its services to the membership and to the community.  I will briefly explain my intended program of activities for the next year.

 
Academic sessions in September will be the main event of The College and there are plans to conduct a joint session with The Royal College of Physicians.  The CME  activities of the of the college will include Young Physicians Forum, College Lectures, specialty days  and joint meetings with the other colleges.  There will be several workshops to address clinical skills, research methodology, medical ethics and IT skills. Infrastructure for electronic transmission of College lectures are already in place enabling us to get more outstation hospitals involved in CME activities. The college web site is currently being updated on a regular basis.

I also wish to strengthen the collaboration with other colleges, clinical societies other associations in order to extend the CPD activities and for improvement of health care of our community.
